Whew...

That was a very hectic week, but looking back it doesn't look like I got very much done. Seriously, I don't remember accomplishing a single thing. Oh well, I guess we all have those weeks. Anyways, I guess I did accomplish a little something because I made a list of what I need to do this weekend. That's what I do, if I don't want to do something at the moment I just put it on a list to do at some later time. That's how I work.
Here is my list of things to do this weekend:

-Make wall art (Click here to see my inspiration) Luckily I have started on that though. (Click here to see)

-Make some greeting cards (I have some fun ideas that I want to try out. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.)

-Find some fabric for the pillows that I want to make

-Decide on the bedspread that I want (Oh my goodness. I cannot decide what bedspread that I like more. I have been debating for over two weeks. Help!)

-And last but not least, get some sleep. I haven't gotten any during the last days, so please excuse me if I nod off for a moment. :)

Anyway, I'll let you know what I accomplish and what gets added to my list for next weekend. Besides, I'll probably come up with a million ideas that I just have to try. Who knows? Maybe I won't accomplish anything. I personally wouldn't be suprised.

Just Some Stuff

Sorry, I decided to take a break on Friday and Saturday. Looking at a lot of other blogs, it looks like they did too. Good, now I don't feel as guilty.
Anyway, I've decided to share so super cute rooms with you. Enjoy!

I love the wall art. So cool! I'm also fascinated by the pillow with the feather on it. I've been wanting to make some pillows for some time and I think that just pushed me over the edge. Now all I need is some cute fabric. Any ideas where to get some?

I really like the couch. I love how they're not afraid to use such a bold print. I'm not quite sure about that huge TV though.
Again, I love the wall art. And once again, I also love the pillows. I need fabric!!

I like how this room gives you a calm feeling. I like the different shades of blue. I'm not usually one for blue, but I really enjoy this room.

I really like the rug. I'm a sucker for cool geometric designs. I don't like the fireplace though. It's kind of weird.

Green. I love green, but I think they went just a little overboard on this room. I am fascinated with the cool shelves though. I've got to get me some of those.

Lately, I've had a passion for chairs that hang from the ceiling. I have no idea where it came from, but I'm in love. I think you can get some from Ikea, but I'm not sure. If you know where to find some, please leave me a comment.

Oh look another hanging chair. I love it!
Once again, a hanging chair. Did I happen to mention that I love those things? No? Well, I do.

And last, but not least another hanging chair. What a surprise. And guess what, I love it!

Well that's about it for now.
Happy Sunday!

I need a new camera........

Oh my goodness. I need a new camera in a bad way. Right now I have a Cannon A530 and it doesn't take that good of pictures. For example click here and here.  If you have a good camera, please I beg, leave a comment.

This is my current camera. Not too cool, right? The quality isn't the greatest and it is pretty basic. If you just need a simple camera, this is a good one. It's easy to use and pretty simple.  If you're looking for a nice quality camera, this is not the one you're looking for.

I hope this is my future camera. It isn't the one that I really want, but it's a lot nicer than the one I have now. I enjoy doing photography and I want to be able to take it up a level. I am so jealous of my family's cameras. They have all of these fancy lenses and all I have is a simple zoom button.

pssst...... Another bonus of a fancy camera is that you need a nice camera bag to keep it in. Here are some of my favorites.

The bags shown above are all from Jo Totes. I am in love. So cute!

Carpet Cleaning (Ugh!)

Okay, so we had this great idea to get our carpet cleaned this weekend. We spent one whole evening moving all of our furniture into rooms that wouldn't be cleaned. It was insane. We only had a small room that we weren't cleaning and we had to fit all of out furniture into that area. We  stacked all of our chairs on the dining table and shoved small side tables under it. We decided to leave our couch where it was, since we won't be moving it any time soon and seeing the carpet. In the bedrooms we piled everything on top of the beds. We didn't really think about where we were going to sleep, but it turned out okay. We now have to live out of this hectic mess until the carpet dries. Right now we have fans on all over the house trying to dry it out. All we can do right now is hope that we don't have any visitors. :) (I'm crossing my fingers.)

Retro Dish

I found this awesome yellow and black bowl/plate. I really like it and I wanted to use it for something. I really like keys too, so I decided to throw some in. I really like the look. I'm just not sure where to put it yet. Right now it's just sitting on my front room table waiting for a home.

ps It does have a little chip in it, but it's barely noticeable.

Gosh, I love Ikea

Ikea is an amazing place. They have some of the coolest things I have ever seen. It inspires me just to look through the catalog. (I about die though, because I want everything so much.)

Adorable Frames

I made these super cute frames. (Not to brag or anything.) The frames aren't anything special by themselves, but I really like them with the pictures in them. I just had some spare frames, so I decided to paint them. The bigger one is just a regular wooden frame, but the smaller one is metal. It used to be red, but I didn't like it. I didn't know if the paint would stick to it, but luckily it did. I did two layers of paint for both of them. For the pictures they were just some scrap booking things I had. I just put the picture on the solid color and ta-dum! Beautiful wall art. I'm not sure if I'm going to hang them on the wall or place them on my desk. Anyway, I love them!

ps Sorry the picture isn't the greatest. I blame it on the bad lighting.

Organizing an Open Book Case

I have this open book case in my room, and I never seem to know what to do with it. It's really nice and it matches my room nicely, but it I don't know how to organize it. Well, today I found my answer. I was looking around on Young House Love and I found this post on how to organize your book shelves. It was really helpful. You should check it out.

I've always had a hard time organizing my bookshelf because I feel everything needs to be on there. I didn't know where to put it if I took it out. To solve my problem I just dedicated a box in my room to anything I didn't want in there at the moment. It's nice because whenever I feel that I want to switch something up or take something out I can. I just keep it in my closet for whenever I need it. Problem solved. It also works with any room in your house. Just dedicate a box for each room. (If the room's bigger, you can divide it into sections so you can find stuff more easily. You can also use cute totes so you can use them for display too.

Fabric

I'm always looking for somewhere to buy cute fabrics. So, today I was poking around on the internet and I bumped into Fashionable Fabrics. Oh my goodness! They have some of the cutest fabrics ever. The problem is that they're really expensive. The cheapest one I found was like $6, but then you have to add shipping. Well anyway, if you have a lot of money and you're looking for some fabric check it out.
Here are some of my favorites:

So many cute fabrics! I'm actually looking for a fabric for new curtains for my room.

ps If you want to give me a gift card to there feel free :)

I'm trying to redo my room.....

I'm in the process of redoing my room. I've been working on it for a long time, but I'm still not getting anywhere. I want to paint one wall green, but I'm not sure. I might actually paint it blue. But then I start wondering if I want to paint all of the walls gray. Or something entirely different. I have no idea.
I also thought I found the bedspread that I wanted (click here to see post) , but I found another one at Target that I really like too. (I tried to find a picture of it, but I couldn't. Sorry) It was only $8. Oh my goodness! What a deal! Now I'm going to have to decide.
I'm looking for a desk at the moment too. I found this really cute one on a blog, but I couldn't find where they got it. I was going to attempt to make it, but I got too lazy and decided not to. I found another one on Young House Love that I like too, but I'd have to make it. I do have a desk now, but it doesn't have enough storage for me. I also want a white desk, and it's brown. Oh my goodness, I don't know what to do. And if that's not enough, I want to make some new pillows and curtains. Wow. I'm not exactly sure what I'm thinking. Or if I'm thinking at all. :)

Tissue Paper Flowers

We needed some decorations for a party we're having, so we made these adorable tissue paper flowers. Here's a tutorial so you can make some of your own. They're really easy and they only take about five minutes.

First of all you want to get five pieces of tissue paper. They can be any color you want. I think it would be cool to use multiple colors. So anyway, lay the tissue paper on top of each other so that their edges line up. Then you want to fold it in half.

After you're done with that you want to to an accordion fold going length wise. Do it to the whole length.

After that you need to find the middle and wrap some wire around it.

Then, starting on the inside you start pulling the tissue paper up. Fluff it a little and keep working outwards.

It should start to look like this.
And there you have it. The finished product. I was surprised at how short of time it took to make them. I also thought it would be a good idea to use tissue paper from presents. It's a fun and easy decoration idea, especially for parties. (I would suggest not making them for pool parties though.)

If you want you can make two and then connect them together to make a ball. Then you can put a ribbon in the middle and hang them up.

ps Sorry if you can't understand my tutorial. It's kind of hard to explain.

I hate being sick!

Sorry guys, I've been kind of sick for the past couple of days. I haven't been able to keep up on my blog. But I have been able to keep up on my sleeping. I also read a lot when I'm sick. If you're looking for a good book you should read the "Uglies." It's a really good read. It's part of a series. I just got it from my local library. I'm on hold for the next one. I'm really excited to read it. If you have any good reads, just leave me a comment.
Well, I've got to get back to sleep. :)

(I just previewed this post and it looked really drab. I decided it needed some more color.)

I've Been Inspired

I dropped by Young House Love today. Oh my goodness! Their house is so amazing! I'm in love with it. They have inspired me. I now have this unquenchable desire to paint ever room in my house. I also want to go spend a whole bunch of money on cute furniture. I'm so jealous. I want my house to be as cute as theirs. I'm going to start with a new bed spread that I just bought. I'm going to give it to myself as a birthday present (which is coming up soon!).

I love the yellow front door. It's so bright and inviting. I now want to pain my door yellow!

I am so very jealous of their sun room. I want a sun room! I also love the cow pillow. Mooo!

I really like the desk. They made it themselves. I'm in the process of looking for a cute desk at the moment.

I'm in love with their master bedroom! Oh my goodness. I absolutely adore the chandelier and the striped pillows. Adorable!

I am absolutely awestruck by their beautiful living room. It's so fresh and modern. I love how the green rug adds a bright splash of color.

They're still working on their kitchen, but so far I'm in love with it. I really like the green walls. And I love their little dog under the table. His name is Hamburger.
I LOVE their guestroom. Sheesh! I want to be a guest there. I don't even have a guest room. Sorry guys, if you stay at my house you're sleeping on the floor. jk!

I want this dining room! I love the cupboards on the wall. I also love how they're not afraid to use such bold and vibrant colors.
ps Above is the bedspread that I bought. I got it at Kohls for only like $45. What a great deal. I love that place :) (It looks better in real life. I promise.)

[Update: I just went back to Kohls and I got the bedspread for only $25. What a deal!]
