I Have an Itch To Paint

Yup. I do. I've been wanting to paint my bedroom for quite some time now, but I can't decide on a color. I am debating between green and blue. Here is some inspiration that I found. Now if only I could decide.

I love how they used that dark blue. I believe it's called Peacock blue, but I'm not positive. The first time I saw it, I fell in love. I also adore the rest of the room. Cute!

I also like the light blue. It gives the room a fresh feeling. I also like how they had the white molding to contrast. I am in love with the chandelier too.

It's a nice green, but I might tone it down just a notch.

I love this green. I also like how they have the mirror in a darker shade. I love it!

This is a little too dark for me, but I love the bed/ couch thing.

It's a really nice green. I also like the small strip of blue above the window. I would do one or the other though, not together.

This is a nice blue. It gives the room a fresh and clean look.

I really like this blue. It's a really nice shade.

This is also another nice color, but I don't like their choice of furniture. Ugh.

It's a little too strong for me, but it fits the room nicely.

I really like this blue. I also love the lanterns in the corner.

I love this design. It is so cool! I want it in my room. Adorable!

Or if I really wanted I could go yellow. I love the chandelier decal on the wall. I think it would be a cool addition to my room. I've been looking for decals that match. The best I've found is some of the Eiffel Tower. They were like $15 bucks for one thought. That's a little out of my price range.

Or if I really wanted I could just do some of every color. It reminds me of when you're customizing your colors on word or paint. Love it!

So, at the moment I'm leaning towards blue. It's grabbing me a little more than green. I also think it would be really hard to find the perfect shade of green. I'm not quite sure though. I'll update you later on.

Anyway, Have you had any fun painting projects going on lately? Any projects of any sort? Let us know. But for now, Happy Wednesday!

Craft Room

Welcome to our craft room!

I know it's not the cutest or the greatest, but it works. I am in this room a lot and I like it just the way it is. I mean if someone said I could have $1000 to redo it, I totally would but I'm okay with it now. The only problem is storing all of our paper. We need to get a small bookshelf or cupboard. It's crazy!

So here's our work space. It's kind of small, but it serves its purpose. If we're ever working on a really big project we move into the kitchen. (It's right next door.)
Here's all of the stuff that we keep on the table. We found those cute blue containers for a cheap price and knew we had to get them. They're really nice to store glue sticks, ribbons, brads or any kind of loose accessories. We also got a tall clear container to keep all of our pens, markers, rulers, paint brushes, and scissors in. It works really well and you always know where to find a pencil.
Here is part of our paper storage. We got a plastic three drawer container. It is perfect for storing paper. It's the right size and it is really easy to use. We just had some tan totes that we weren't using and decided that they were perfect for accessories, lettering, cards, stickers, and embellishments. On the very top we just have a funky box that we keep all of our punches in. (That mirror isn't usually there. We just haven't gotten around to hanging it yet. We're planning on putting it above the piano, but we've been pretty busy around here.)

Here's our box of punches. We just had this funky blue box and decided to it would add a little spunk. I started trying to fit them all in lying down, but they didn't even get close to fitting. I was just messing around with them and I starting putting them standing up. It worked! It doesn't look that great, but it's a lot better than it was before.

Here is our amazing paper cutter that I absolutely love! It works so good. It does leave black residue wherever it sits, so we just put it on top of some cardboard. Other than that we don't have any complaints.

Here is our table. We used to just have a boring wooden table, but when we found this we just had to get it. We really liked the cool designs and metal work. It looks really cool and works good too. It's nice because the top is metal. We used to have to put paper down before we did anything. Now we just do it because it's so easy to clean up. We are really happy that we got it. It's amazing.

In the corner of the room we put up this really cool mirror. We thought it was nice and added something a little more sophisticated. I love the cool design and color.

So that's just about it. There's our craft room. Do you have any cool craft rooms or good ideas? Let us know. Anyway, have a happy Sunday!

Having Something Ugly and Making it Cute (And Usefull)

I have a shoebox full random nick nacks that I want/ need to keep. I always feel that I have to keep it tucked away because it's so ugly. I decided to cuten it up today.

I started by painting the edges white. I was going to paint the whole box, but then I realized that would be a waste of paint. Since I was going to cover the box with paper, only the edges would show.

I then proceeded to cute all of these little butterflies out of this paper. Let me tell you, it's a lot of work. I was going to cute out more, but I gave up.

I then covered the whole box in coordinating paper. I think it turned out really cute. I now have a cute box to display and it serves a purpose at the same time. Perfect!

DIY Pendant Light Tutorials

I have always wanted to get one of these awesome pendant light fixtures from Ikea.

But since they're kind of expensive I might be willing to make one of these awesome pendant lights. If only I had more time. Amazing! How anyone came up with these I have no idea.
